I finished reading The Good Earth, by Pearl S. Buck a few days ago. I enjoyed it. It is the story of a poor Chinese farmer, who struggles through life from starvation to wealth. It’s a good read, with interesting struggles between family and between nature that comprise a whole lifetime.

I liked the connection that Wang had with the earth, and how simply he felt about life.
