Our Liberty

This blog was never meant to be filled with political thoughts, but as more and more unnerving things take place, I need to say something.

As I’ve traveled in different countries, I’ve noticed soldiers standing guard in the streets. They carry automatic rifles, maybe, and never smile. They stand and watch their citizens with suspician. They are a symbol of the governments that they represent: powerful, watchful, and controling. One thing I never wanted to see was soldiers on the streets in the United States of America. I appreciate that we have a strong military to protect and defend us. I do not want them to be deployed on our own soil, unless we are being invaded by another army. And then I want them to be deployed against the other country, not against our own citizens.

To add another element to this government move against liberty is the furthering of the use of spy satellites on American citizens. The government approved over $600 Billion last week towards ramping up survielance of Americans with satellites that will be able to “see through cloud cover and even penetrate buildings and underground bunkers.” Read more: Domestic Use of Spy Satellites To Widen

Every time I hear what the government is spending money on, and how much of our money is going to anti-liberty tools, and our national debt to other powerful countries growing, it makes me angry. It’s time to pray. It’s time to care. It’s time to stop our government from taking away our freedoms until we don’t have enough freedom left to fight back.
